OBD Emergency Start Box – Fiat (2008 to 2022)

This OBD box is designed to perform the emergency start And transponder key learning on many Fiat models produced between 2008 and 2022. It allows the configuration of transponders, the recognition of new keys, and the temporary bypass of the immobilizer via the socket OBDII of the vehicle.

1. Preparing the Transponder

  • DIP 1 to 4: off, off, off, off
  • DIP 7 and 8:
    • off, off – PCF7936 (without remote control)
    • on, off – PCF7946 (10 or 16 pin SMD)
    • off, on – PCF7946 (8 pin SMD)
  • Position the transponder perpendicular to the antenna ring.
  • Plug the box into the vehicle's OBDII socket.
  • Wait for initialization (3 green flashes).
  • Green LED: success/Fast red LED: failure.

2. Learning the Keys

Configure the number of keys to be learned via DIP switches 1 to 4:

  • Connect to OBDII and wait for initialization (3 green flashes).
  • The LED remains off for 5 seconds.
  • Red for 10 sec: Turn on the ignition for each key.
  • Green LED for 5 sec: key accepted.
  • Flashing red LED: key refused – try again.
  • At the end, slow flashing green LED: success.
